Sallie Bee Weeden Profile PhotoOn May 30, 2024, the world lost a remarkable individual, Sallie B Weeden, a beloved soul known for her dedication and warmth. Sallie was born on January 27, 1933, in Pontotoc County, a place she always held dear to her heart. Her passing occurred at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

Sallie dedicated an impressive 41 years of her life to the Shirt factory industry, where her hard work and commitment shone brightly each day. Her colleagues remember her as a beacon of positivity and a hardworking individual who inspired those around her.

One of Sallie’s greatest joys in life was attending church, where she found solace and community. She cherished moments spent with family and friends, often engaging in long conversations over the phone and creating lasting memories filled with laughter. Sallie also found joy in the simple things, whether it was through her love for socializing or her enthusiasm for working tirelessly. She was known as a “chill woman”

A fan of “The Price is Right,” Sallie would light up whenever the show graced her screen, showcasing her vibrant spirit and love for entertainment.

Sallie is survived by her loving her daughter Gloria Faye Williams (Late Mike Williams) and sons Jimmy Dale Weeden (Mona) and Rodney Weeden (Sandra). Her memory will forever live on in their hearts as they recall the love and joy she brought into their lives. She is survived by her grandchildren Jeff Williams (Lori), Tanya Cantrell (Mark), Heather Deaton (Late Casey Deaton), Alanna Bledsoe (Mark), Jody Forsyth (Josh), Jaclyn Colburn (Will), Hannah Gullick (Tyler), Bryanne Weeden (Brandon). She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of many years Hollin Weeden. Her parents Johnny Sanders and Dovie Hayes.

Visitation services will be held on Monday June 3, 2024, at Hurricane Baptist in Pontotoc starting at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life ceremony will follow at 2:00 PM. The final farewell during the Graveside Service will take place at Sand Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Williams, Mark Cantrell, Mark Bledsoe, Josh Forsythe, Gidon Deaton, and John Herring. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Colburn, Tyler Gullick, Brandon Weeden, Caden, Brandon Walker, and Spencer Herring

Sallie B Weeden’s legacy will continue to inspire many as her kindness, work ethic, and passion for life leave an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing she made this world a brighter place.

The family is asking for memorials to be made to the Sand Spring Cemetery fund in lieu of flowers.
