Sallie Ann Robinson Patterson, 85, of Huntsville, AL passed away on February 25, 2022. She was born on August 24, 1936 in Winnsboro, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene Patterson, father, Herbert Allen Robinson, mother, Lois Clay McKenzie, sister, Mary Spencer, and brother, Herbert Gene Robinson. Sallie was the first social worker at Bert Fish Hospital in New Smyrna Beach, FL. She was a long-time member of the Lutheran church and was a member of St. John’s Episcopal church in Huntsville. Taking care of family was Sallie’s main focus and she enjoyed time spent with her extended family. She also enjoyed needlepoint, puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading and watching the University of Alabama football games. Left to cherish and honor her memory are her son, Paul Purser (Rosanne); daughters, Chris Cooper (Billy), Beth Coston, and Mary Fisher; sister, Linda Huff (Harold); and stepsons, Tad Patterson (Terry), Nace Patterson and Joe Patterson (Annette). Sallie had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren and nephews. A graveside service will be held for family and close friends at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
