, of Martinez, Ga., died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta, Ga. She was born in Arkansas to Frank and Manda Verdict. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Hodges, Ala., and was a member of the Eastern Star.
Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home chapel, Red Bay, with Brother Marty Guidry officiating. Burial will be in Hodges Cemetery, Hodges, Ala. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Ala., will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her sister, Fran Henry Woolridge, of Cabot, Ark.; three children, Joel Douglas Taylor (Nancy), of Topeka, Kan., Brenda Crawford (David), of Platte City, Mo., and Lester Taylor, (JoAnn), of Martinez, Ga.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank Verdict and Ewin Verdict; sister, Maxine Cantrell; and a son, William Taylor.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 8, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
