Ruth Nabers Bradford – Obituary

Ruth Nabers Bradford, 89, of Montgomery, Ala., previously from Russellville, AL, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.

Mrs. Bradford was preceded in death by her husband, A. T. (Buddy) Bradford, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Terrell (Terry) Nabers Bradford, Margaret (Meg) Bradford Briand, and Lesley Bradford Barry and seven grandchildren.

Ruth was very active in the First United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School for over 50 consecutive years and serving as President of the Women’s Society of Christian Service (WSCS). She was also a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution, Matthew Smith Chapter, serving as Regent from 1982 to 1985, and 1998 to 1999. She especially enjoyed her Friday Afternoon Bridge Club, and various other civic organizations.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8:00 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral will be at The First United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Wednesday with Clint Busler officiating. The body will lie in state from 12-1 p.m., 311 North Jackson Avenue, Russellville, AL 35653. Burial will be in KP Cemetery.

Pinkard Funeral Home Russellville will be directing.
