was born in Paragould, Arkansas on March 11, 1925 the daughter of the late William and Cordelia Simms Greenway.
She was united in marriage on March 17, 1944 to Wheeler Seamon Falls, who preceded his wife in death on May 12, 1998.
Ruth had worked as a floor supervisor for Brown Shoe Company, manager of Kenwin Shop and a teacher’s assistant for Hardin County School System. She was a member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 73 plus years. Ruth loved working at the church with her children, “The Sunbeams”. She was a great example of Christian Living, offering hope to others, lived her faith, and always looked for the good. If you ask anyone who knew her, they always talk about how they loved her, and especially her smile. If you were sick or hurting, you often received her famous chocolate pie! In her life and in her death, she left a legacy of love, faith and hope. She made a difference!
Ruth departed this life on March 11, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 95 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Janice Falls Shelby of Saltillo, Tennessee and Shirley Falls of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tracye Huffaker and her husband Bo and Allison Davey and her husband Michael; and great grandchildren, Hayley Huffaker and Taylor Grace Davey.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by five sisters, Effie, Lois, Demondria, Imogene and Albertine and three brothers, Warren, Ray and Walter.
