Funeral service for Ruth (Gohl) Beatty, age 88, of Hartselle, will be Saturday, July 9, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Benny Sivley officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Beatty, who died Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at her residence, was born October 24, 1927, in South Charleston, OH, to Glenn Fredrick Gohl and Lemma Arcadi Adkins Gohl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paul Beatty. Mrs. Beatty attended Asbury College and was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Paula Jeryl Beatty of Asheville, NC; four sons, David Mark Beatty (Cherie) of Grand Saline, TX, Timothy Jon Beatty (Sandy) of Fairfax, VA, Kristin James Beatty (Suk) of Orlando, FL, and Kevin Michael Beatty (Jennifer) of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
