  Ruth Funderburk Profile PhotoRuth Funderburk, 92, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at her daughter’s home in the Bartahatchie Community. She was born on February 10, 1933 in Monroe County to George Cleveland Law and Gladis Loriene Duke Law Miller. A graduate of Greenwood Springs school, she worked in the garment industry as a seamstress prior to her retirement. Ruth raised all five of her children with the strength given to her by her faith in God. She loved her Lord and her churches, First Assembly in Aberdeen and Fig Hill Church of God in Hamilton. She loved cooking for her family and in addition, she enjoyed gardening, flowers, working puzzles, playing Solitaire, and reading.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Fig Hill Church of God with Bro. Ricky Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in the Fig Hill Cemetery. Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home of Amory has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Leaving behind a great legacy of family, she is survived by two daughters, Felissa Camp (Joe) of Greenwood Springs and Melissa White of Caledonia; grandchildren, Brianna, Elizabeth, and Katie White, Nancy Brown, Charlotte McCullar, Alan Welch, and Max Welch, Ken, Austin, and Johnathon Funderburk, Tabitha Davison, Brittani Tidwell, and Luke Frazier, John, Conner, and Timothy Funderburk; great grandchildren, Lariena, Taylee, DJ, Andrew, Katie Brook, Byron, Dianna, Emma, Kadie, Zoey, Sadie, John, Cheyenne, Kaiden, Luna, and Chase; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; special friends, Nora Dugger and Sister Helen Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Kenneth Wright and Henry Veto Funderburk; sons, Kenneth L. Funderburk and John Henry Hank Funderburk; one daughter, Sharon Frazier; 2 brothers, Edward Howard Law and Cleveland Boyd Law; and one sister, Mae Law Christopher.

Pallbearers will be Ken Funderburk, Austin Funderburk, JR Funderburk, Luke Frazier, Allen Welch, Marlin McCullar, Max Welch, Zack Tidwell, John Conner Funderburk, and Timothy Funderburk. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew McCullar, Jonothan Davison, and Joe Camp.

Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Thursday at the church.
