Ruth Elliott Whitt, 90 of Toney, Alabama died on Monday, September 7, 2015, at the home of her daughter.
Born Thursday, February 19, 1925 in Cash Point, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Elliott and the late Clara White Elliott. She was a lifelong resident of this area and was a member of Toney Methodist Church. She was a member of Madison Crossroads Homemakers Club for 50 + years and Woman of the Year in 1987. She loved being with her family and attending her grandchildren’s events. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: J.B Whitt, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are daughter: Ann Whitt Bridges of Madison, AL, son: Joe Bob (Tammy) Whitt of Madison, AL, grandchildren: Allison Bridges (Chris) Bowden, Todd (Morgan) Whitt, Amber Whitt, and Casey Whitt, and great-grandchildren: Lee Bowden and Addy Grace Whitt.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Rev. Mac McCutcheon officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
