Ruth Elizabeth Felts, age 82, of Joelton, Tennessee, died Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the home of her daughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, Monday, July 29th, at Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Pleasant View with Bro. Randy Riggs and Pastor Mike Hollis officiating.
Burial will follow in Good Springs Cemetery with Russ England, Mark England, Curtis Wheeler, H.L. McCullough, Dean Binkley, Tracey Binkley, and Jody Ford serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are her loving nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Sunday, July 28th from 1:00-6:00PM, and again on Monday at the church beginning at 1:00PM until the hour of service at 2:00PM.
Mrs. Felts was born on October 30, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Haywood & Ethel Martin Binkley. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and mowing her yard. She loved everyone she knew and especially loved her family. Mrs. Ruth was a longtime, faithful member of Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church where she taught many Sunday School classes and served as secretary for the Women Active for Christ group.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Felts; brothers, Thomas, Donald, Paul, Ray, Jerry, John, and David Binkley; and son-in-law, Mike England.
She is survived by her son, Kendall (Sandie) Felts; daughter, Gayle England; grandchildren, Russ England, Mark England, Autumn Felts (fiance´ Fletcher Thompson), and Kaitlynn Felts; and sisters, Marie Wheeler, Janice (Rodney) Ford, and Yvonne Merritt.
