Ruth Coleman Bell, 89, of Fort Payne, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024. She was born October 14, 1934 in DeKalb County, Alabama to the late Georga A. Coleman and Hattie Leona Whiteside Coleman. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and enjoyed gospel music.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda Banks; sister Shelba Sharp and husband Bentley; grandchildren Tara Banks, Sabrina Reber, and Chad Coleman; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Bell, son Jerry Coleman, and granddaughter Jennifer.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
