Ruth Christine Eudy Hamilton, 95 of the Ryan Community passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024. She was born December 17, 1928, in Marshall County, the daughter of Grady C. Eudy and Elzia Rutledge Eudy. Ruth’s mother passed away when Ruth was very young, her grandparents played a role in her care and raising until her father met and married her stepmother, Beatrice Ryan Eudy. She married Wendell Eugene “Gene” Hamilton August 28, 1965, and was married for 43 years at the time of his passing August 29, 2008. She was a beloved cosmetologist until retirement and a member of the Ryan Baptist Church.
She is survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded by her husband: Gene Hamilton; mother: Elzia Eudy, parents: Grady and Beatrice Eudy; a sister: Gaynell Dunn (Joe) and brothers: Stanford Eudy and Cecil Eudy (Wanda).
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the Ryan Baptist Church with Brother Terry Hudson officiating. The burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Ryan Baptist Church.
