Ruth Ann Strange Wright, 84, of Muscle Shoals, AL went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Her parents were the late Charles Strange and Mary White Strange, of Baldwyn, MS. Ruth Ann was a gifted and creative artist and had studied painting under Paul Penczner of Memphis, TN. She also loved crocheting and studying the Bible, with her in-depth study of Christianity leading her to write a book, Spiritual Food for the Famine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Wright, of Cairo, MS, her infant daughter, Mary Gay Wright, and her sisters, Charlene Cox and Bobbie Howard.
She is survived by her son, David Wright and Sharon, of Nashville, TN, and her daughter, Judith Killough and Mark, of Muscle Shoals, AL.
She leaves grandsons, Michael Foster, of Booneville, MS, John Mark Killough, of Muscle Shoals, AL, Jordan Killough, of Columbia, SC, and Stuart Wright, of New York City, NY; and great granddaughters, Sidney and Angel Foster.
A special thanks to Keller Landing in Tuscumbia, AL for their excellent care and kindness, and to Amedysis Hospice for their loving devotion and compassion in Ruth Ann’s final days.
The family will hold a Memorial Service in May 2023.
