Ruth Ann Donald Cook, 73, died Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She worked as a bookkeeper for Savings Oil for over 15 years and then worked for Foamex in Verona until she retired. She was a longtime member of Ballardsville Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, playing the piano, and singing in the choir and with her Wednesday night group at her church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 21, at the Ballardsville Baptist Church with Bro. Wexford Parmer officiating with Bro. Roger Franks assisting. Burial will be in the Ballardsville Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Julian Cook; one son, Gary Cook (Sue); one daughter, Teresa Nichols (Scott), all of Ballardsville; five grandchildren, Amanda Conwill, Chad Montgomery, Chris Nichols, Corey Nichols, and Ty Nichols; and eight great-grandchildren, Maddy Christopher, Ashton, Cohen, and Eaden Montgomery; and Aiden, Carson, Olivia, and Aubrey Nichols.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Howard Donald; and one grandson, Monty Nichols.
Pallbearers will be Chris Nichols, Corey Nichols, Ty Nichols, Chad Montgomery, Rickey Boyd, and Riley Farris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Estes, Bobby Christian, Ray Christian, and Bobby Irvin.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 20, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday, February 21, at the Ballardsville Baptist Church.
