Rusty Eugene Nelson, 67, died Sunday, December 31, 2023. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery. He was a Sheffield native and a veteran of the U.S.. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis (Frank) Walter Nelson and Martha Sue Nelson; and brother, George Randy Nelson.
Survivors include sons: Chad William Nelson and Jeremy Tyler Nelson (Laura); brothers: Rick Nelson (Kathy); Roy Nelson (Rita); and sister: Jan Nelson Allen (Mike); grandchildren: Aubrey Nelson Epperson; Sam Nelson and Laynie Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.
