James Chris Spencer – Suspected of murdering his mother
RUSSELLVILLE – A 64 year old Russellville resident was found dead at her residence Thursday evening. Rosalind (Jo) Spencer’s body was found on the floor of her Green Avenue home. The body appeared to have been there for several days. Neighbors reported to police after they had not heard from her in several days.
Today Russellville police arrested her son, 46 year old, James Chris Spencer in the death. Both son and mother shared the same home near Russellville Hospital.
Muscle Shoals arrest records show that James Chris Spencer was arrested for allegedly pawning stolen jewelry. Russellville Chief Chris Hargett told media representatives that the suspect was taken by ambulance earlier today for what appeared to be an attempt at suicide. He remains hospitalized.
