Ruie Reynolds – Obituary

Ruie Reynolds departed this life on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the age of 92 years, 1 month, 1 day.

She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 9, 1921, the daughter of Lige Daniel (Dan) and Ida Beaterice Franks Irvin. Ruie grew up in the Burnt Church Community and later moved into Savannah, where she spent the rest of her remaining years. She was the owner and operator of The Coffee Shop. Ruie had also worked for Hardin Medical Center for 15 years and Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church and Woodmen Lodge.

Ruie is survived by a daughter, Sarah Elisabeth Doyle Shirley; son, Delmer Woodrow Reynolds; 4 grandchildren ; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Jewell White of Savannah, Tennessee and Hazel Baugus of Adamsville, Tennessee; brothers, Jack Irvin of Mt. View, Missouri and L.D. Irvin of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Hardy Reynolds on December 8, 1985; a brother, Walter Irvin and great grandchild, Justin Doyle.
