Rudie Keith Cooper, 64 of Corinth Community, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Cooper was born on May 3, 1954 in Cullman County, Alabama. Keith attended West Point School and Upshaw Friendship Baptist Church.  He was known as “Red” at work where he did the maintenance at Wallace Community College in Hanceville, and he also kept the students and faculty safe.  Keith enjoyed target practice and restoring antique vehicles in his free time.  He was a wonderful man who endured a lifetime fight with diabetes.  Keith loved his mother and Grandmother Laura very much, respected his father Jerome, and loved his adopted son with all his heart.  He saved his cousin Angela Madrigal many years ago and gave her the courage to keep on living. Keith will be missed and never forgotten for all the wonderful acts he did for his family.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2pm, at Corinth West Cemetery, Corinth Community.

Keith is survived by his daughter, Sonia Cooper; adopted son, Coalson Jerome Cody Cooper; brother, Phil Freeze; uncle, Louie Cranford Cooper; cousins, Angela Ruth Cooper-Madrigal, and Jackie Lee York.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Lois McClellan Cooper; and grandmother, Laura Holland Cooper.
