Rubye Nell Freeman Duke, age 89, of Florence, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.
Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 23, 1-2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, 1950 Helton Drive, Florence, Ala. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Ralton McCarley officiating.
Interment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with all of her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Duke was retired from Comcast Cable TV and was a member of IBEW Local No. 558.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bernice Cantrell Duke; son, George David Duke; parents, William Edmond and Maude Ina Freeman; and brother, William Bryce Freeman.
Survivors include
daughters, Pam Hughes (Larry) and Ina Donsbach (Frank);
brother, James E. Freeman (Mary);
sister-in-law, Erma Freeman;
grandchildren, Jody Donsbach, Greg Donsbach (Traci), Ashley Donsbach Hovater (Trav), Stacy Hughes Britt (Stephen), Jeremy Duke (Adrienne), Sam Hughes (Lauren), Jennifer Harrel;
great-grandchildren, Landon Duke, Carter and Campbell Britt; Jordan, Nathan and Conner Hovater; Christian and Taylor Lesley and two on the way;
nieces and nephews.
