She was united in marriage to Johnny Thompson on August 26, 1984.
Rubye worked as a bookkeeper from the age of 15 until her family closed L&L Mechanical in 2011. She spent her time camping, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She loved flowers but her brown thumb kept them from flourishing, a trait she passed on to her daughters.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Adamsville and loved singing in the choir. She was a 10 year lung cancer survivor.
Mrs. Thompson departed this life on December 4, 2018 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 61 Years, 5 Months, 22 Days. She is survived by
her husband, Johnny Thompson of Adamsville, TN; her mother, Martha Leitschuh of Adamsville, TN; two daughters, Dionn Milligan and husband Chipper of Michie, TN, Keesha Klinck and husband Scott of Adamsville, TN; stepdaughter, Greta Austin and husband Benny of Savannah, TN; two stepsons, Johnny Alan Thompson of Savannah, TN, Brad Thompson and wife Nicki of Savannah, TN; nine grandchildren, Ashley Binetsky and husband Serge, Garick Smith, Kobe Klinck, Curtis Milligan, Chip Milligan, Aubrey Klinck, McKinley Thompson, Tommy Jack Milligan, Myles Thompson; two sisters, Maia Broyles and husband Ricky of Saulsbury, TN, Lori Shelton and husband James of Adamsville, TN; a brother, Roger Chip Leitschuh and wife Wendy of Franklin, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Choir in Adamsville or American Cancer Society.
