Funeral services for Ruby Maxine Howard are set for Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 2 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST with interment in Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 1 pm -2 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST. Bro. Alan Parker will officiate the service. Born April 1, 1932, Maxine passed from this life on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, having served as a quality inspector for World Color for over 20 years. She cherished time spent with family and friends in various ways. An avid gardener, Maxine found happiness in nurturing her plants. She delighted in shopping trips, enjoying meals at favorite restaurants, and exploring the joys of cooking for loved ones. These activities brought her immense joy and allowed her to share her warmth and hospitality with those closest to her. In her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling and creating memories with family that would be cherished forever. Maxine is survived by her children, Deborah “Debbie” Price, Danny Howard, Donnie Howard (Teresa), Dennis Howard, Dewayne Howard (Sarah); her grandchildren, Ron Price (Darden), Shon Price (Kacy), Dusty Howard, Bobby Walden (Nancy); her great grandchildren, Molly Addison Price, Mary Finly Price, Major Price, Paisley Price, Pately Grace Price, Paxton Price, Hayden Howard, Lynlee Howard; her sister, Mary Louise Gargus; her sister-in-law, Linda Cantrell; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her son, David Howard; her parents, Lee and Myrtle Wren Cantrell; her grandson, Daniel Howard; her brother, Charles “Gene” Cantrell; and her son-in-law, Lexie Price. Pallbearers include Dewayne Howard, Dusty Howard, Ron Price, Shon Price, Bobby Walden, and Lance Gargus. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Ruby Maxine Howard.
