Ruby Mae Maze Haney Grindle Of Arab, Al passed away at age of 87 on 28 Dec 2022 surrounded by family at her home.
She was born to Tony and Leatha Oden on 18 Apr 1935 and was adopted by Dewey and Mary Maze.
She was married to Howard Grindle of Arab on 8 Mar 1984, who survives her.
She worked as a seamstress for more than 20 years for Bluebell and went on to work with other manufacturers.
She was a member of the Cullman Senior Center. She enjoyed activities such as sewing quilts for family, and hats for babies. She loved to garden, grow flowers, go thrifting and go to quilts shows.
She is survived by her children
Linda Haney [Ricky] McClain , Sandra Haney[Mark]Chapmon, Patricia Haney[Chris] Andrews, Mary Grindle[Kevin] Stallings, Mark [Jennifer] Grindle. Grandchildren Adam McClain, Daniel[Kym]Larmon, Amy McClain[Logan Moody], Jessica Larmon[ Matt Ward], Eli Stallings and Great granddaughter Annabeth Grindle.
She is also survived by sister Goldie Malone, Brother Lonnie [Virginia] Oden, Brother Phillip [Sandra ]Oden.
She was preceded in death by parents Dewey and Mary Maze along with Tony and Letha Oden. Sister Opie Haney, Brother Emmett Maze, Brother Lynn Oden, Sister Helen Jones. Granddaughters Christy Chapmon and Katie McClain.
Visitation; Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 12 – 2 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. from Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Junior Plunkett, Officiating.
Ruby will be laid to rest at New Cannan Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery
