Ruby M. Bolton, 89, of Leighton, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023. Visitation will be Monday, June 12th, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Phillip Potter officiating. Interment will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Ruby was a native of Leighton and a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved caring for her family and her home. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bolton, and parents, Grady and Evie Smith Burrell.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Verdun and husband Todd of Washington, PA; sisters, Rosalie Grainger of Marianna, FL and Hazel Walker and husband Malcolm of Mount Hope; grandchildren, Luke and Gemma Verdun; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Luke Verdun, Greg Borden, Larry Hester, Randy Hester, Chris Hutchins, and Hayden Hutchins.
The family expresses special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama, especially Ginny and Bonnie.
