Ruby Lois Garrison Gillies Ruby Lois Garrison Gillies, 79, of Marked Tree, Arkansas, died on Monday, September 23, 2024, at The Crossing at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation in Searcy, AR. Ruby was one of the most kindhearted and caring people you could ever meet. She had never met a stranger, always had a smile on her face, and had a kind word for everyone. Ruby had been a hard worker her entire life. She did factory work until she retired and kept her yard looking immaculate at all times. She enjoyed the simple things in life like relaxing on her porch, talking with friends, and listening to country music, but in her later years, she also discovered a love for riding around, exploring and looking at scenery. While she could find joy in just about anything she did, her favorite thing of all was spending time with her family and friends. Ruby is survived by her children, Allen Booker (Susie), Randy Booker (Rachel), and Tam Hasting; her grandchildren, Darron Booker, Chasity Booker, Gage Booker, Amnestie McIllveen (Matt), and Brittany Bruce (Greg); her great-grandchildren, Keagan Booker, Rayden Booker, Gabriella Gowan, Ramsey Stamps, Everett McIllveen, Violet McIllveen, and Lilly McIllveen; and her sister, Faye Phillips (Billy). She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Gillies; her grandson, Heath Booker; her parents, Ruby and Woodrow Garrison; and her brother, Larry Garrison. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ruby’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
