Ms. Ruby Lee Little Ms. Ruby Lee Little was the daughter of the late Bertha and John Dunbar. She was born on April 19, 1932 and passed away September 15, 2024 at Crestwood Medical Center.

Ruby was an Army veteran. She was eventually employed as a medical transcriptionist at the VA Hospital in Tuskegee, AL. After retiring from the VA, she later obtained her License of Practical Nursing Certificate from Calhoun Community College in Decatur, AL.

After an honorable discharge from the Army, she eventually came in contact with the Jehovah’s Witnesses, studied the bible extensively and dedicated her life to Jehovah-looking forward to the time when we all can ask, “Death, where is your victory? Where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:55-58).

Ruby, affectionately known as “Grammy”, leaves to    cherish her memories: three daughters: Joycelan Little, Anita Alexander, and Jacquelyn Douglas all of Huntsville, AL; a son: Rodney Little (Verna) of Opelika, AL; six grandchildren: Wesley Little and Xavier Langham of Huntsville, AL, Sidney Little of Commerce City, CO, Emanuel Douglas IV of Louisville, KY, Chakira Galloway (Lionel) of Birmingham, AL, and Shaniqua Little of  Montgomery, AL; and five great-grandchildren: Sidney, Jalasha, Harmony, Serenity, and Rylee; and many other friends and relatives.

Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Friday, September 27, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (2820 Winchester Road, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Brother Willie Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Ms. Little will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2024 and 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2024 at the Royal Funeral Home.
