Ruby Kelly McCasland Ruby Kelly McCasland was born on October 6, 1920 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William E. “Bud” and Mary Kelly. On August 1, 1946, she was united in marriage to Grady Earl McCasland, who preceded his wife in death on February 17, 2002.

Ruby was a member of the Piney Grove Church of Christ in Savannah, Tennessee. She loved to cook, garden, grow flowers, and sew. Her greatest love was her family, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruby departed this life on July 31, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 99 years, 9 months, and 25 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy K. Smith of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter in law, Donna McCasland; 5 grandchildren, Kelly Smith, Gretchen Lambert and her husband Chris, Blake Smith and his wife Jenny, Tessa Tomlinson, and Stephanie McCasland; 7 great grandchildren, Carlee Register, Campbell Register, Kendall Lambert, Kolbie Lambert, Ellis Smith, Eastyn Smith, and Sawyer Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven E. McCasland; son in law, Billie R. Smith; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters.
