Ruby Katherine Hallmark, age 93, born August 7, 1931, of Ford City, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. There will be a graveside service at Shady Grove Cemetery at 7525 River Road, Muscle Shoals, AL, 35661, on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Virgie Smith, husband Chester M. Hallmark, daughter, Jeanette Parrish, son Steve Nichols, brothers Marvin J. Smith and Leon Sydney Smith, Betty Jo Procter, and great-granddaughter, Danielle Watson.
Survivors are her sister, Mary Elizabeth Morris, her daughter-in-law, Rita Nichols, Steve’s son Stephen(Christine), her granddaughter Heather Hall(Chris), Heather’s children Alex and Hailey, granddaughter, Holly Parrish, step-children, Kaye Thomas, Coy Hallmark(Brenda), and Philip Hallmark(Susette), grandchildren, Gina Kennamore, Chris Thomas(Kevin), Rachael Hallmark, Naomi Hata(Stanley), Tyler Hallmark(Liz Richards), Carson Hallmark, great-grandchildren Hattie Thomas, Katie Thomas, great-great-grandsons Chad Watson(Abi), Brody Watson, and Ian Alexander.
Katherine was retired from Shoals Hospital and was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.
Pall Bearers will be Chris Hall, Alex Hall, Chad Watson, Brody Watson, Chris Thomas, and Kevin Dockery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
