Ruby Jo Castle Vickry Wells, age 74 of Florence, peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by family and close friends on Friday, August 03, 2012. Visitation will be at Spry~Williams Funeral Home, Florence on Sunday, August 5, from 6-8 PM. The service will be in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Sonny Bogus officiating on Monday, August 6, at 1 PM. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Loretto, TN immediately following. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Anthony Vickry and Shannon Bevis, Marvin Laws, Luke Letourneau, Billy Wayne Risner, and Daniel Castle. Honorary Pall bearers will be Brian Willis and James Lee Willis. Mrs. Wells is preceded in death by her mother and father, 11 bothers and sisters, and ex-husband Wayford Vickry. Survivors include sons Randy Vickry (Pat), Florence, Phillip Vickry (Tammy), Indiana, daughters, Rhonda Vickry and Jeanette Vickry , both of Florence, sister Eleanor Letourneau (Luke), Indiana, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many special nieces ,nephews and friends. Mrs. Wells was a homemaker who loved to cook, sew and garden all her life. The family wishes to thank all the home-healthcare nurses and caregivers that provided for Miss Ruby, and a special thank you to Dr. Holden, Hospice of the Shoals, and the 5th/6th floor nurses at ECM Hospital.
