Ruby Jenell Poole Taylor, 88, died Friday, November 12, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Belmont, MS to the late John Wallace and Annie Mae Poole. She married the love of her life in 1949, Sidney Albert “June Bug” Taylor. They were married for 51 years. She was a loving mother who loved her family with all her heart. She was seamstress for Blue Bell and H.I.S. for years and was well known for her sewing, quilting and making those apple and peach pies.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 15, 2 p.m. at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Dwight South and Bro. Frankie Smith officiating. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She leaves behind her two children, Kathy Taylor Rosser (Dexter) and Jerry Taylor (Linda); four grandchildren, Kristy Rosser Hutcheson (Kenn), Regina Rosser Ware (Ricky), Jason Taylor (Valerie) and Michelle Taylor Goddard (Randy); eight great grandchildren, Taylor and Marlin Hutcheson, Jay and Breanna Taylor, Brantley Goddard (Marissa), Stephen Moore, Trish Hudson and Jacob Moore (Sarah); four great-great grandchildren, Tristin Pounders, Greyson Hudson, Atalie Hudson and Jude Hudson; one brother, Charles Poole (Linda) and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, June Bug Taylor; her parents, two grandchildren; five brothers and four sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jason Taylor, Jay Taylor, Marlin Hutcheson, Kenn Hutcheson, Ricky Ware, Stephen Moore, Randy Goddard and Kelvin Hammock.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 14, 6-9 p.m. at Forest Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
