Ruby Jean Davis 79, of Carbon Hill, passed away on Monday July 5, 2021 at her residence.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper Alabama.  Joey Vick will officiate.

Ruby Jean Davis was born on May 3, 1942 to Tallie May Johnson and Connie Johnson. She had three children, Dexter Dozier (Christy), Shirley Guthrie (Charles) and the late Donald “Bo” Dozier.

She is survived by her two sisters-Jewell Phillips, Shirley Raines and two brothers-James Ray Johnson and Robert Joe Johnson. Grandchildren-Dexter Dozier and Tamara Millwood, Veronica McGough (Ronnie), Nikki Keeton (Nick), Chase Lawrence (Kristen), Kelly Wright (Joey), Mandy Handley (Matt) and Matthew Colburn, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother-Tallie May and Connie Johnson, son-Donald “Bo” Dozier, great grandchild-Hayden Lee Dozier, brothers-Junior Ray Johnson, Clarence Johnson and Delton Johnson and sisters-Wilma Feltman and Pauline Tidwell.

Special thanks to her babies Kimberly and Jodi Tidwell, Kindred Home Health and Hospice.

Pallbearers will be Nick Keeton, Ronnie McGough, Chase Lawrence, Dexter Dozier and Joey Wright.

Today is a celebration of a life well lived. Ruby Jean Davis loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart and was always ready for an adventure with her grandkids. She is now at rest with no more pain.
