  F.7.12.24 Hazel Grissom.jpg Ruby Hazel Grissom passed away at the age of 90, surrounded by her loving family. Hazel was born to Norman and Bessie Hamilton, January 20, 1934, in Russellville, Alabama. She passed into the presence of the Lord on July 6, 2024.

Hazel worked at Flower Craft for 10 years and Halls Pharmacy for 30 years. After retirement she was a caregiver to many for over 10 years. At the age of 13, Hazel married Junior Earlin Grissom to whom she was married to for 74 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Bessie Hamilton; husband, Junior Earlin Grissom; brother; Oscar Hamilton; and sisters, Martha and Norma Jean Hamilton.

Hazel is survived by her two daughters, Glenda Beavers (Ben) and Janice Ellison (Chris); four grandchildren, Shane Beavers (Mandy), Brett Beavers, Laurie Stafford (Jeff), and Erica Ellison. She had many great-great-grandchildren, Blake, Drake, Summer, Jordan, Madison, Allie, Savana, Justin, Zach, Kimber, Hanna, Taylor (Jessica), Taylor C., Shane (Stella), Morgan, Greg, Abbey, Logan, and Samantha, 15 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also known as Ruby Hazel, Meemaw, Nana, Mezal, and Grandma.

Family and friends will gather from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Saturday July 13, 2024 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home, 6755 HWY 51 N Millington, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery, 6755 HWY 51 N, Millington, TN 38053.
