Ruby Hall Beadle age 97 of Florence passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016. Visitation will be Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 3:00pm till 4:00pm at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence. Services will follow at 4:00pm in the chapel with Rev. Robert Sparkman officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Samuel AI Beadle. Her parents A.E. Hall and Mary Elizabeth Hall. Sisters, Thelma Smith and Martha Daniel.
Ruby is survived by her children, Anne Meyercord (Champ), Beverly Watson (Greg) and Greg Beadle (Martha). Grandchildren; Amy Stevens (Quintin), Ed Meyercord (Andrea), David Meyercord (Hunter), Gregory Watson (Britton), Ty Watson (Misty), Zach Watson (Robin), Sam Beadle, Will Beadle (Ashley), and Liza Beadle. Great grandchildren; Katie, Samantha, Charlie, Eddie, Isabel, Charlotte, Sam, Sophie, Lily, Win, Austin Hall, Lotti, Jackson, Cody, Hadley Beth, Jace, Hudson, Teddy and Henrietta.
She was devoted to her church, her family, her friends and her students. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Florence, and The Mary Douglas Bender Sunday School class. Member of U.M.W. She graduated from Florence State (UNA) and taught 6th grade at Weeden School for 9 years. Past president of Alpha Delta Kappa teacher sorority. Member of A.A.U.W., Salvation Army and Kennedy Douglas Art Center. She was also a cub Scout Mother.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family would like to express a very special thank you to her physician Dr. Hobbs, her caregivers and friends, Pat Richardson, Donna Taylor and Connie Winborn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church building fund.
