Mrs. Ruby Faye Hodge, age 75 of Middleton, Tennessee, passed from this life Wednesday morning, January 28, 2015 at Bolivar General Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Middleton, Mrs. Hodge was born Monday, November 6, 1939 to the late Dalton and Pearl Flake. On September 1, 1955, she was united in marriage to Mr. James Albert Hodge, who preceded her in death June 16, 1999. She worked in the mental healthcare industry in the dietary and housekeeping departments at Western Mental Health Institute in Bolivar, and was a member of the Middleton First United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Coln and husband David of Corinth, Mississippi, and Vickie Hodge of Middleton; sons, Lynn Hodge and wife Sue Nell of Middleton, Jimmy Hodge and wife Charlotte of Pocahontas, and Wayne Hodge of Middleton; sisters, Eula Hodge and husband Robert of Pocahontas, and Geneva Bevills of Middleton; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Nace Flake of Pocahontas, and Thurmond Thompson of Arkansas.
Charitable contributions made in memory of Mrs. Hodge may be directed to the Middleton First United Pentecostal Building Fund.
Visitation and service information is listed below. The service will be officiated by Cecil Robinson and Cliff Walker, and Mrs. Hodge’s grandsons, Kerry Hodge, Patrick Coln, Jamie Hodge, Jimmy Hodge, Justin Hodge and Josh Long, will serve as pallbearers.
