Ruby Evelyn Haga Bruce, 72 of Somerville, the West Point Community died Sunday, November 29, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Bruce was born January 22, 1943 in the old Arab Hospital, the daughter of John C. and Marvellene Henderson Haga. She was a high school graduate and a member of the Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Roxie and Brad Lee and Tonya and Patrick McCaleb; two grandchildren: Kaitlin McCaleb and Jordyn Lee; her best friend and caregiver: Ken Yancey; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Morris and Mamie Haga, Rubin and Mary Haga and Bobby and Melba Haga; a sister-in-law and husband: Hilda and Richard Buckshaw and preceded in death by her husband: the Reverend John W. Bruce (March 13, 2004), her parents: John C. and Marvellene Haga and a brother: Radford Haga.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City, Brother Robby Boyd and Brother Craye Hall, officiating. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery, Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be David Bruce, Steve Haga, Joe Mueller, Family and Friends.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City.
