Ruby Callahan Ruby Eloise Hensley Callahan, 86, of Middleton passed from this life Monday, July 5, 2021, at her home in Middleton.

She was born Sunday, September 2,1934, in Saulsbury, to the late William Franklin Foster and Lucille Ophelia McCommon Foster and lived most of her adult life in Germantown and Collierville. She resided in Saulsbury when she was married to the late Robert “Buck” Callahan. Mrs. Callahan worked at Carrier in Collierville, and at both Security Signals in Cordova, and Lucerne in Bolivar for many years. Her last occupation was as a devoted caregiver in Hickory Valley. Mrs. Callahan loved her Lord and Savior, and was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church. She was a former member of West Memorial Baptist Church. Her family describes her as a hard worker and a wonderful cook and baker. You would always find her in her huge vegetable garden or in the home cooking and cleaning. Mrs. Callahan found great joy in giving to others and loved Gospel music.

Mrs. Callahan is survived by her son, Mike Hensley of Millington, TN; sisters, Martha Fendley of Rogers, AR, and Barbara Hall (Raymond) of Middleton, TN; brothers, Don Foster of Lakeland, TN, and Warren Foster of Saulsbury, TN; grandchildren Michael, Michelle and Adam Hensley; and several great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband James Hensley; son Rick Hensley; sisters Inez Foster, Hazel Newton Hurley, and Betty Rogers; and brothers Lewis Carl Foster (Billy), and Franklin Foster.
