Ruby Earline Gay, 93, of Ripley passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 PM Tuesday evening at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley. Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday at Garner Funeral Home with burial to follow in Concord Cemetery near Gates.
Mrs. Gay, a retired clerk for Delta Human Resources Agency, was a member of Curve Baptist Church and also a member of the Home Demonstration Club.
The widow of Neal Gay, she is survived by a daughter Rita Tate of Ripley, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Gloria Daniels, a son Garey Gay, a sister Imogene Jenkins, and a great-granddaughter Tiffany Sanders.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
