Mrs. Ruby Dean Freeman, age 101, of Cordova passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Cordova Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 12, 2022 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial at Sardis on River Road. Dr. Dennis Willingham will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Lee Black; son, James Leamon Black; grandson, Steven Michael Black; great granddaughter, Dana Lee Conner; sisters, Glendon Hyche, Mildred Chambers and Matha Lou Garner; and brothers, Willard Kelly, J.T. Kelly and James Kelly.
She is survived by her brother, Charles Kelly of Bessemer, AL; sister, Claudette Mason of Quinton, AL; granddaughters, Sharon Conner and Jan Higgins, both of Cordova, AL; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
