Ruby Blackburn Parham, 93, passed away at home April 14, 2020.
She was a 1946 graduate of Santa Fe High School and attended Columbia Business College. Ruby retired from Western Electric and AT&T after working as an executive secretary. Ruby was a member of Riverside Methodist Church and more recently had attended Creivewood Baptist Church. She was a dedicated member of the Joy Sunday School class. Ruby was a caring wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother and proud great grandmother.
Ruby is survived by her loving husband and faithful caregiver, Marion K. Parham of sixty-eight years; daughter, Cherry Warren (fiancé, Bob Griffin) of Panama City Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Crystal Higgins (David) and Chelsea Green; sister, Margaret Harris (Norman) of Columbia, TN; brothers Howard Blackburn of Charleston, South Carolina and Dr. Edward Blackburn (Emily) of Dickson, TN; great grandchildren, Kennedy Green and Alivia Higgins (her babies as she so often called them); and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Parham is preceded in death by her parents, Ora Alleen Hood Blackburn and William F. Blackburn and brother, Allen Blackburn.
Pallbearers will be Paul Blackburn, Bob Griffin, Christopher Harris, Craig Harris, David Higgins, Ray Parham, Lester Reed and Llyod Shouse.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Santa Fe Cemetery in Maury County with Reverend Phillip Wright officiating.
