Ruby Anderson Gean, 88, of Florence, passed away March 19, 2015 at E.C.M. Hospital. She was a member of Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Wayne Wood and John Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gean was preceded in death by her husband, Lurlan Gean; daughter, Gail Gean Pruitt; parents, Charles David Anderson, Sr. and Ora Lee Matheney Anderson; sisters, Betsy, Esther, Lillian, Geneva, Christine, and Lila Ruth; brothers, Robert, Herchel, John, and Charles, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Gean (Pat), Kenneth Gean (Kay), Lonnie Gean (Julie); daughter, Cheryl Gean Harrison (Donald); 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Balentine King, Vera Gray Eddy.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Russell Gean, Scott Gean, Todd Gean, Michael Harrison, Chad Pruitt, Ronald Gean, and Chris Gean.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at E.C.M. on the 6th floor and the Palliative Care Unit.
