Funeral service for Ruben D. Shelton, age 91, of Trinity, will be noon Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Parkway Funeral Home with Chris Shelton and Greg Standridge officiating. Visitation is one hour before the service. Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery.
Mr. Shelton, who passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015, was born January 20, 1924, to Thomas Martin Shelton and Mary Hawkins Shelton. He served in World War II and the Korean War and was a retired boilermaker, local 455. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna and a grandson, Johnny.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilee; two granddaughters, Shannon and Charity; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
