Royce Wayne Jones

Royce Wayne Jones departed this life from pulmonary complications at NMMC Hospice Unit on July 4, 2024. He was 68. He was born in West Memphis, Ark on October 18, 1955. The only child of the late Jack Jones and Gloria Underwood Jones, he graduated from High School in Memphis and went to Paramedic School. He spent his working life as a paramedic in Memphis and Tupelo, after locating here in 1980. After retiring from the medical field, he became a salesman for Cowboy Maloney’s Appliance, Lane Furniture and Helig Myers Department Store. Wayne loved music of all genres, NASCAR and Pro football. He was crazy about his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wayne leaves behind his wife, Malise Cook Jones of Tupelo; two sons, Christopher Jones of New Albany and Nicholas Jones of Shannon; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and his many cousins.

Per Wayne’s request, there will be no public services. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo is honored to be serving their friends.
