Royce Lee Bailey – Obituary

Royce Lee Bailey, 48, of Houston, entered into rest on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Royce was born December 22, 1969 in Haleyville and was a graduate of the Class of 1988 of Addison High School. He worked for 17 years at Southern Energy Homes before being employed by Ardent Mills in the sanitation department. Royce was a member of Yellow Creek Hunting Club. Although he enjoyed hunting and fishing, his passion was riding motorcycles and four wheelers. Royce dearly loved his family and was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and son.

Visitation Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Houston Baptist Church, where services will be held on Sunday at 11 a.m. Brother Donnie Carroll, Brother Kenny Sudduth and Micah Brewer will officiate. Burial in Burdick Cemetery.

Royce is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tracy Bailey; son, Brody Bailey; daughter, Laura Pigg and her husband Victor; mother, Jewell Bailey; sister, Pamela Aviles and her husband John; he was “Papaw” to two grandchildren, Anna Grace Pigg and Elliott Elizabeth Pigg; and a host of beloved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Nathan Bailey; father, Wilford Bailey; paternal grandparents, Bear and Mary Bailey; maternal grandparents, Roy and Laura Walker; and a host of other family.
