Roy V. Adams, 79, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was born June 30, 1944 to the late Troy Adams and the late Gladys Johnson Adams in Itawamba County. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Ole Miss football, playing Phase 10, and spending time with family and friends. Roy was a member and Deacon at North Side Baptist Church and a Master Mason.
Services with military honors will be at 1 pm on Friday March 15, 2024 at Senter Funeral Home Bro. Keith Thomas, and Bro. Billy West officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm on Friday March 15, at Senter Funeral Home.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Adams of Fulton; son, Dennis (Rachel) Adams of Hernando; daughter, Judy (Jeffery) Stewart of Fulton; step son, Jim (Angela) Dodson of Fulton; grandchildren, Ariel (Aaron) Chamblee of Belden, Olivia (John) Buchanan of Nettleton, Sophia Grace Stewart of Fulton, and step grandson, Noah (Alexis) Dodson of Fort Wayne, IN; great grandsons, Beau Dodson, Finley Buchanan, and Archie Chamblee.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Adams; parents, Troy and Gladys Adams; daughter, Danielle Adams; 1 brother, and 2 sisters.
Pallbearers will be Paul Bedford, Ed York, Ricky Lindley, Bobby West, Terry Johnson, Ricky Johnson, and Noah Dodson.
