Mr. Roy Travis Williams, Jr. 68, of Florence, passed away July 4, 2016 after an extended illness. He was of the Baptist faith, and retired after 26 years of service with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local #402.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rich Hardeman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Travis Williams, Sr; mother, Mary Frances Williams and brothers-in-law, Richard Derrick and Garry Thompson.
Survivors include his son, Roy Travis Williams, III; daughter, Kathy Williams; sisters, Becky (Joey) Toone of Athens, Alabama, Beth Rowland, of Pelham, AL, Jean (Mike) Reynolds of Lawrenceville, GA, Susan Thompson, of Lawrenceville, GA, and Pam Derrick of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandchildren, Jase McCrary, Juslynn and Bentlee Brewer.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
