Funeral service for Roy Russell Moses, 85, will be Friday, April 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray McNutt officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Moses died on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born June 16, 1938, to Roy Moses and Minerva E. Shadden Moses.
He was employed by Compton’s Construction, prior to his retirement but his enjoyment came from Carpentry. He had a business in making Oak Furniture. He loved watching westerns but most of all loved his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a son: Michael Moses and a daughter: Deidre Short.
Survivors include
Wife – Valeria Oliver Moses
Daughter – Penny Pittman (Dustin)
Brother – James Moses (Janice)
Grandchildren – Jason Short, Rocky Short and Lauren Moses
Pallbearers will be Dustin Pittman, Jason Short, Rocky Short and Ernie Moses.
