  Roy Oscar Clark Profile PhotoRoy “Oscar” Clark, age 77, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Born on November 12, 1946, in Sandy Hook, Tennessee, he was the beloved son of the late Melvin and Berta Mai Clark.

Roy was content with life’s greatest joys including spending time with his friends and family and cheering on his beloved Volunteers. Known for his humble spirit and profound knowledge, Roy was cherished for his down-to-earth approach to life and his unwavering loyalty to his loved ones.

Roy is now reunited with his late wife, Bettilynn Clark, and his parents. His legacy lives on in his children, Jeff Clark (Gayla) and Leigh Ann Hill (Chris); his grandchildren, Clark Hill, Katie Hill, A.J. Clark, and Ella Clark; and his sister, Barbara Lindsey (Doug). Roy’s family and friends will forever remember him as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Dugger, Adam Lindsey, Marcus Albright, Jimmy Chatman, Charlie Goatz, Tim Scribner, Ben Farris, and Brent Farris.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, Tennessee, officiated by Eddie Watson. Roy “Oscar” Clark will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, humility, and love endures.
