Mr. Roy Lee Adams, age 74, of McMinnville, TN, died Monday, August 21, 2023 at Ascension St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born May 18, 1949, in McMinnville, Tennessee, was a truck driver with the Warren County Sanitation Department, and was a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church. Roy loved working on trucks and cars, enjoyed traveling with his wife, and liked running the roads as their kids called it. He was preceded in death by his parents Berline and Fredia Millraney Adams, sister Carla Underwood, brother Ronnie Glenn Adams, and nephew Edward “Eddie” Lee Morton.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years Wanda Adams, son Brian (Faye) Adams, step-children Rodney (Amanda) Walker, Richard (Diane) Walker, and Jason (Sissy) Walker, sisters Ruby Holt (Waymon Hobbs) and Novella (Edward) Morton, grandchildren Carrie (Derek) Pigg, Jacob Adams, Rebekah Adams, and Noah (Rachael) Adams, great grandchildren Jaxson Pigg, Kenna Pigg, Harper Pigg, and Hunter Adams, step grandchildren Allan (Alma) Walker, Adrian (Torie) Walker, Alex Walker, Brittany Walker, Skyler (Kayla) Walker, Katelynn Walker, Johnathon (Tonya) Walker, and eight step-great grandchildren.
Funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 24, 2023 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Kenneth W. Kirby will officiate. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery at Mud Creek in Rock Island, TN. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.
