Roy Edward Shaw age 75 of Athens, Alabama passed away Saturday June 6th, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Beyoit, Wisconsin to Loyd E. Shaw and Frances Holton Shaw on May 10th, 1940.
Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday June 9th, 2015 at 11:00AM at St Paul Catholic Church with Reverend Charley Alookaran officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00AM at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Loyd E. Shaw and Frances Holton Shaw. Also one sister Sandra Haas and one son Anthony Carroll Shaw.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife of 54 years Robin Shaw of Athens, two sons Loyd Edward Shaw (Bebe) of Athens, and Mark Roy Shaw of Athens. Two daughters Joanna Ruth Wiley (Price) of Nashville, TN, and Tina Robin Cox (Rob) of Chattanooga, TN. Four grandchildren Loyd Edward Shaw, Helen Nance Wiley, Grace Reed Wiley and Frances Brindley Shaw.
He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a retired general contractor. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
