Roy Danial Lane, Jr., 53, peacefully died on September 22, 2024, in his home in Huntsville, Alabama, due to complications associated with cancer. Roy was born on April 16, 1971, in Nashville, Tennessee to his parents, Roy D. Lane and Linda Sue Hines. He attended Cheatham County High School from 1985-1989 and he received a bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University. He joined the Air Force-(REG AF) in August 1989-1993. Roy became a Realtor in Huntsville, Alabama. He married Stacie Songy in 2015.
He is survived by his wife, Stacie Lane; daughter, Katie Lane; son, Thomas Lane; stepson, Lance Naff and wife, Danalyn Naff; granddaughter, Anna Grace Graham; grandson, Michael Gray Lane; father, Roy D. Lane; mother, Linda Lane; sister, Tammy Senter and husband, Scott Senter, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; nephew, Jordan Selph, and niece, Morgan Selph.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 26th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m., with Mass following at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Jose Raphy Ambooken officiating. Burial will be in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m.
