Roy Chester Hawkins, Sr., age 59, died on Monday, December 26, 2016 at his Brownsville, TN residence.
Roy was born on January 13, 1957 in Brownsville TN the son of the late Alroy and Loraine Hawkins. He was retired from Ross Manufacturing. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Brownsville. He loved to sew and work in his yard. He enjoyed feeding family and friends for the produce from his garden. He loved helping others and being with family and friends.
Survivors include his sons, Roy Hawkins, Jr. and Kevin Pugh; daughters, Lisa Taylor and Sylvia Jones; brothers, William Hawkins and James Hawkins and sisters, Ophelia Turner, Darlene Spight and Glodine King and five grandchildren.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 11 :00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. James Carney officiating. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service from 9:00 AM until service time.
