Roy Carmack Garner, Jr., 76, Phil Campbell, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Veterans Hospital in Birmingham.
Mr. Garner served his county in the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War and was later an electronic technician and a photographer.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 02, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with military honors. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by mother, Emma Bonner Garner; and father, Roy C. Garner, Sr.
He is survived by his special cousins, Betty Bonner Burnett & family, Hartselle, Willie Mantooth, Tennessee, Jim Bonner & family, Phil Campbell, John Bonner & family, Prattville, Steve Bonner, Florida, Ann Spells, Georgia, Freda Bonner Bagwell, Mobile, Ed & Ray Garner & families, Illinois; and a host of friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the VA Hospital in Birmingham as well as the Safe Harbor Palliative Care Unit for the love and care of our cousin.
